Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026. This policy explains what data EligMe collects and why.

What we collect

Account data: your name, email address, and - if you sign in with Google - your Google account identifier.

Eligibility profile: the details you choose to provide, such as date of birth, gender, category, home state, education, certifications, and exam preferences. Providing them is optional, but matching accuracy depends on them.

Usage data: saved notifications, alert read-state, and push subscription endpoints for devices where you enable push.

How we use it

Your data is used for one purpose: computing which government opportunities you are eligible for and notifying you about them. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or third parties.

One-time sign-in codes are delivered through our email provider (Resend) solely to send you the email you requested.

Data retention and deletion

Your profile is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account yourself at any time from Settings › Danger Zone in EligMe. After you confirm, your account and associated personal data are deleted immediately - there is no waiting period, and you do not need to email us to ask.

If you cannot access your account, email hello@eligme.com from the registered account address and we will help you.

For the full list of what deletion removes, what is kept, and why, see Delete your EligMe account.

Security

Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database with encryption in transit. Sessions use HttpOnly cookies. Sign-in is passwordless, which removes password-reuse risk entirely.

Changes to this policy
